Cuddle Therapy (somatic work)
What is it?
Cuddle therapy is a structured approach to relational well-being based on platonic (non-sexual) touch, attuned presence, and nervous system regulation. It uses simple and respectful forms of contact such as hugging, holding, or sharing proximity, all within a clear framework of consent and boundaries.
Its purpose is to promote the release of tension, reconnect to conscious and platonic touch, let go of heavy emotions, improve the regulation of the nervous system, increase the production of oxytocin (the hormone associated with well-being and confidence), reduce stress, and offer a restorative experience of safer human connection.
Cuddle therapy involves no sexual content and falls strictly within the field of well-being and non-clinical relational support.
